A (somewhat) usable modded firmware. Full width S-Meter at the top of the display. Unfortunately you lose the TX power reading, but I'll fix that later.
Menu item 37 (PTT ID) has been replaced by a Modulation selection menu. There are 4 options Menu item 44 (PONMSG) has been replaced by a Modulation selection menu. There are 3 options

Sorry for having to replace a menu option, but I'm not yet at the point where I can add new menus.
To set the modulation on a memory channel with Chirp etc.. The equivalent PTT ID options are
OFF = OFF
BOT = AM
EOT = USB
BOTH = FM
There is a quirk with this that I have not yet been able to eliminate, when switching VFOs between A and B it doesn't update the modulation mode immediately and you have to perform another action to get it to kick in.
