- Gatus keeps config.yaml in a /config volume of its own, which can also
be a host directory, and the installation writes it only when it is
missing, so updates and recreations keep the endpoints added to it.
- The address Pocket ID is opened at says what it is for and that
passkeys need HTTPS.
- The catalog categories are sorted again.
- The release notes count 364 applications and credit PR #521.
Last changes before version 1.2.7.
OCI manager Apps
- Multi-container applications start while one of their containers is
being backed up: the start hook waits until vzdump releases it and does
not start it twice. The DHCP client of a dependency no longer keeps the
lock of the hook, so later starts do not hang, and the watchdog waits
while a dependency is locked. Installing or updating ProxMenux replaces
the published copies of the hook already in place.
- Images built from scratch with a numeric user, such as ddns-updater,
install: the container is created from a copy of the image that adds
the /etc/passwd and /etc/group Proxmox VE needs, and the application
runs with the user the image declares. The downloaded image stays
unchanged. An image with a named user and no user database stops
before anything is created, with a message that says why.
Catalog
- Twelve new applications: MDBListarr, CrossWatch, Free Games Claimer
Remaster, Cloudreve, Poznote and AceStream HTTP Proxy, suggested in
discussion #440, and the Dockur images of Chrony, Dnsmasq, Tor,
Stunnel, strfry and Statping. The catalog lists 347 applications.
- Their prompts, labels and notes are translated into the seven
languages of the menus.
Documentation
- OCI manager: architecture, lifecycle and stacks pages revised, with
larger diagrams and new screenshots.
- Contributors: the page now thanks those developing, reviewing,
translating and testing ProxMenux today and those who helped in its
first steps, with new avatars.
Tests for the stack start hook, the watchdog, the user database check
of OCI images and the Tor installation summary.
- Translate the new terminal and Monitor texts into es, de, fr, it, pt and sv
- Replace the machine fills of those new keys with reviewed translations
- Keep the complete terminal catalog check in CI
- Keep Machine learning in English in Spanish
- Fix the German Exit label
- Make the fallback tests use a locale without the keys
- Check that the Monitor answers on its socket, not only that it exists
- Report the applications whose check failed instead of failing the whole request
- Show those applications as not checked, without their older result
- Tell the user in the menu when a check fails
- Add GPU to VM lists the devices from other slots that share the IOMMU group of the selected GPU before the summary
- The NVIDIA installer keeps the patched flag of the installed driver while its version is unchanged
- New messages translated into all languages
- The upgrade no longer restarts pve-manager while preparing the host, so running guests are not stopped
- The upgrade stops before touching any repository when the Proxmox VE 8 update fails or is cancelled
- The unattended mode continues into the upgrade instead of exiting after the mode question
- Without a subscription, the enterprise repository added by pve-manager 9 is left disabled after the upgrade
- grub-efi-amd64 is installed with its output visible in interactive mode
- Help menu: qm unlock and pct unlock entries in the VM/CT section, renumbered items and aligned labels
- Help menu: pvesm scan nfs takes the server address, and pveupgrade is described as the interactive upgrade
- Help menu: an empty choice no longer runs the previous command
- translate() finds catalog entries for texts with leading or trailing spaces and keeps the padding
- Spanish help menu texts use the tú form and the Intro key
- New help and upgrade messages translated into all languages
- Option 19 scans an NFS server for its exports with pvesm scan nfs
- pveupgrade is described as the interactive package upgrade it starts
- The FAQ describes the wget install command and the Post-Install backups of .bashrc and MOTD
- Two Spanish error titles match the interface
- Registry accounts are kept in /etc/pve/priv/proxmenux/registry-auth.json, shared by every node, unless REGISTRY_AUTH_FILE says otherwise
- The custom image importer offers to sign in when a registry refuses an image, and reads it again
- Installers, updates, the watchdog and the Monitor update check read private images with the saved accounts
- The host backup includes the accounts, and uninstalling ProxMenux removes them and keeps the OCI records of the cluster
- Spanish written by hand and spacing fixed for the registry account messages in every locale
- Docs: private registries section, Registry accounts in the OCI menu, README storage notes
- Optional Settings: new step for the ZRAM swap profile, with what it does, how it is used and how to verify it
- Uninstall Optimizations: add the ZRAM swap profile to the kernel and memory group
- Customizable: list the ZRAM swap profile in the Optional category
- lang: rewrite the Spanish ZRAM messages and add the missing space after semicolons and the initial capital in the other locales
- OCI manager Apps carries the Technology Preview label that Proxmox VE gives to application containers from OCI images, in the main menu, the engine windows, the menu search, the message at the end of each installation, the release notes and the documentation.
- The documentation explains that the label refers to the Proxmox VE support it runs on, not to the ProxMenux engine, and stays until Proxmox VE marks it as stable.
- Spanish for the new message; the other languages are left to the translation bot.
